Hygienic Storage Tanks

Hygienic storage tanks are built for production lines where the surfaces in contact with the product must be smooth and fully cleanable. The polished inner surface, radiused transitions and a base shape that allows complete drainage create a structure that leaves no product residue behind. At Denfor Endüstriyel, we supply hygienic storage tanks in AISI 304 and 316L grades, complete with a CIP washing head, top lid, hygienic connection fittings and a leg assembly, sized to your volume and equipment needs.

Why it matters

What does a hygienic storage tank do?

The standard solution for production lines where the surfaces in contact with the product must be smooth and fully cleanable.

Hygienic design that leaves no product residue

The polished inner surface and radiused transitions leave no corners or crevices where bacteria could grow, protecting product safety.

Built for CIP washing

A clean-in-place (CIP) head and a fully self-draining base shape let the tank be cleaned automatically without dismantling the line.

Manufactured to AISI 304/316L standards

The grade is chosen based on the product's acidic/chloride content, meeting the hygiene requirements of the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Insulated or jacketed option

For applications where product temperature must be maintained, a jacketed (hot/cold water circuit) or insulated shell option is offered.

Types

Sub-types of hygienic storage tanks

All three are built on the same hygienic design principle; what sets them apart is equipment and temperature control needs.

STANDARD

Uninsulated hygienic storage tank

An economical, standard solution for products stored at ambient temperature, where protecting product temperature is not critical.

  • Economical solution
  • Ambient-temperature storage
  • Wide range of volumes
TEMPERATURE-PROTECTED

Jacketed hygienic storage tank

With a double-walled shell, hot or cold water/glycol circulation keeps product temperature within the desired range.

  • Temperature control
  • Double-walled shell
  • Process temperature stability
FULLY EQUIPPED

CIP-headed, automated hygienic tank

Fitted with a CIP washing head, level sensor and temperature measurement, and integrated into an automation system.

  • Automatic CIP washing
  • Level/temperature sensor
  • Automation integration

Selection criteria

What data determines the right hygienic storage tank?

Selection cannot be made without the first two items. The rest determine the equipment and temperature control.

FAQ

Questions from the field

The questions we hear most often when quoting hygienic storage tanks.

What is the difference between AISI 304 and 316L?

Thanks to its molybdenum content, 316L is more resistant than 304 to chloride and acidic products; 316L is recommended for dairy products and salty foods.

How does the CIP system work?

A rotating or fixed washing head mounted inside the tank sprays the cleaning and disinfection solution onto the inner surface, letting the tank be cleaned automatically without dismantling the line.

When is a jacketed tank required?

When the stored product must be kept within a specific temperature range (for example fermentation or cold-chain products), a jacketed shell provides hot/cold water circulation.

Which hygiene standards is it manufactured to?

It is manufactured with surface roughness and transition radius values that follow EHEDG/3-A-type hygiene principles for the food and pharmaceutical sectors; certificate requests can be met on a project basis.

Do you only serve Istanbul?

No. While our office is on Istanbul's Anatolian side (Ataşehir), we supply and ship across Istanbul's European side, the surrounding provinces and the Marmara region, and Turkey as a whole — covering your equipment end to end, from a single source.
